Music and the Gutierrez children

One of the services we are providing is to help members of the Tobalaba Ward learn music so they won't need Elder and Sister Marshall to provide the music for sacrament meetings. We held a directing course before church on Sundays for a number of months before the end of the year. We have six or seven people now capable of directing the music, properly, in our ward now.

We now provide a piano class, using the course provided by the church, on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings to provide people to play for meetings.

Two of the adults who are learning to play are Sergio and Denisse Gutierrez. With their young children and their other church responsibilities, they cannot come to the Sunday morning class. So they come to our apartment on Wednesday evening. I teach Sergio and Denisse in our apartment while Annie takes their three children to the temple gardens or the park playground nearby. That is an interesting experience for her as he Spanish is limited and they have no English.

So how does Mom get them to understand her as she takes the kids to these various places?
