When Raul Vilugron found out that Annie shared the same birthday with his step-daughter, Daniela, he asked us to join them at their home for dinner. We thought we would be the only ones there with their immediate family but there must have been twenty or more people there. Mari's brother and two teenage children cooked all kinds of meat on the grill. There were three different kinds of salads and soft drinks. Daniela, who is studying to be a chef made the most delicious three layer cake with different toppings between each layer. We told her she shouldn't have had to work for her own birthday but we are certainly glad she did.
Many of their relatives, friends from the ward, and other past acquaintances were there. Our young bishop (in the white shirt) and his beautiful wife were among the visitors. The missionaries, Elder Jennings and Elder Cueva, stayed for dinner and left right after the cake. Everyone kidded them that they could stay to eat cake but then they had to leave.
